Octa collaborated with Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora and Capital & Coast District Health Board to plan and install a fleet of eight new x-ray machines, including room upgrades and ancillary work, across two hospitals in the Wellington region. These state-of-the-art machines were the first of their kind to be installed in Australasia, representing a significant advancement from the previous systems, some of which had been in use for over 20 years. The programme was completed ahead of schedule and within budget, despite being conducted in a complex, dynamic, and operational hospital environment.
Octa was involved from start to finish, providing expert Project and Programme Management support to coordinate the Business Case through to final handover. Octa led and delivered a programme that met a challenging timeframe, involving a large group of key stakeholders across physical / digital infrastructure and clinical areas. Crucial to the programme's success were the Octa Coordination Programme and Cost Control, which aggregated project data and presented it as clear information. This enabled the project team to make informed decisions quickly and align expectations across a large team.
