Octa project managed the design and construction of these two new schools - Waitākiri ($14.5M) and Rāwhiti ($15.5M). Each school was a merger of 2–3 other schools which had been severely damaged in the 2010/2011 Canterbury Earthquakes.
Both schools were constructed by the same contractor under a single contract with Separable Portions, but using different design teams and quantity surveyors. Each was completed in December 2015.
