A study of Napier Libraries services and facilities was conducted to identify the optimum use of the facilities.
Octa undertook a comprehensive review of Napier Libraries management strategy, business operations, services and facilities providing a comprehensive report on areas for improvement including people, IT and facilities.
The library service had been awarded $1.7m capital to develop one library branch. Based on Octa’s report, the plan was upgraded to invest that sum and more over 3-5 years in both library branches and endorsed the plan to invest up to $0.5 million in library IT enabling facilities and services over the following two years.
The plan also adopted the recommendations on changes to library services strategy structure and staffing. Ultimately the facility changes were directed at enabling improved library service.
