ASB North Wharf is a culmination of four years’ work led by Octa in the development of a new generation of office building. Delivered by the same team that produced C Drive and Sovereign House, this is the third generation in the development of humanised office space and comprises two commissions—base building for Kiwi Income Property Trust and fit-out for ASB Bank.
The building is modelled around a unique natural ventilation design, with opening double glazed windows and a series of staggered atria that provide natural daylight into the depths of the building.
The glazed public thoroughfare and the bridge links between the two buildings provides a physical connection between public, customer, retail and ASB staff.
The ASB fit-out is based around Active Base Working and is seamlessly integrated and coordinated with the base building. It has 26,000 square metres including 2,000 square metres of retail space with a 600 seat theatre. There is significant external public spaces and pedestrian linkages to the Wynyard Quarter.
