Richard has a background in project management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects in both Australia and New Zealand.
Since graduation, Richard has been involved in the project management of the design and construction administration of a wide range of projects encompassing roading, sewerage, water, stormwater and land development. Before joining Octa, Richard worked with Watercare Services Ltd in a project management role and gained a thorough understanding of all aspects of the delivery of water and wastewater reticulation and treatment projects.
Since joining Octa, Richard has been providing project management on a number of significant infrastructure projects, most notably planning and implementing the capital works programme at the Green Island landfill. As well as managing and controlling onsite works, his input has included the briefing and engagement of specialist consultants required to undertake these works.
Richard therefore has extensive experience in providing project management services from both a client-side and consultant perspective. He has an excellent understanding of project delivery, and the need to effectively work with consultants and contractors to optimise project outcomes.
